Acting as taxing master of the High Court of South Africa.
Acting as taxing master of the Arbitration Forum of South Africa.
Drafting of complicated costs opinions to all the leading attorney firms of South Africa. Advice on the billing of experts such as: clinical psychologists, industrial psychologists, accident reconstruction experts, actuaries, chartered accountants, general practitioners and radiologists.

Advice on the fee lists of counsel. Acting as a costs Arbitrator and Mediator in legal costs disputes and in determining security for costs. Planning and implementing an international marketing strategy for electronic filing and document management.

Founding and overseeing the logistics of 1000 golfers playing on 12 golf courses over a 10 day period in South Africa's largest golf Festival for 3 years. 
Obtaining international and local sponsorship and maintaining sponsor relations. 
Acting as Secretary of the Gardens Lawn Tennis Club. 
Acting as Hon. Treasurer of The Royal Cape Yacht Club. 
Completed 8 Ironman events.

After 5 years practicing as a Legal Costs Consultant in Johannesburg, Kevin Friedlander spent a decade in London where he specialised in complex, high value Civil and Criminal Litigation.

In his 10 years in the United Kingdom he prepared some of the largest Bills of Costs in UK Legal History and oversaw the Costs Management of two Government Inquiries, regularly attending lengthy detailed assessment hearings at the Senior Court Costs Office and the House of Lords.

Upon his return to South Africa in 2007, Kevin established Rand Taxing Consultants, Cape Town which continues to be one of the fastest growing firms of Costs Consultants in the country attending to the Legal Costs needs of Attorneys throughout the Cape and in Kwazulu-Natal, specializing in complex Maritime, Insurance and Construction Litigation.

In the past decade he has and continues to prepare or oppose Bills of Costs in some of the lengthiest and most costly Civil Litigations in South African Legal History.

He has acted as a consultant to the Law Society of South Africa in relation to the Amendment of Rule 70 of the High Court Rules which came into effect on 12th March 2010.

He has also acted as a consultant to the Bar Council of South Africa providing guidance and a comprehensive advice on the proposed amendment to Rule 69 of the Rules.

He has regularly been employed as a Taxing Master in Arbitration matters and has provided Mediation services in various Attorney Client disputes.

Mogamat is currently a legal costs consultant and is an admitted Advocate of the High Court. 

He has extensive experience in the legal costs field having been a taxing master at the High Court for 20 years and a legal costs officer for the Road Accident Fund for 3 years.

He obtained BA (Law) and LLB degrees from the University of the Western Cape and further holds a Batchelor’s degree in Business Administration.

He was responsible for assisting and guiding the new taxing masters with the nuances of the taxation field.
